Businessman and public affairs commentator Atedo Peterside has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to explain why the final batch of polling unit results from the Osun State governorship election took significantly longer to upload.

Peterside questioned the delay after INEC resumed uploading results to its IReV portal, noting that thousands of results had already been uploaded while some remained outstanding.

He also asked whether a technical “glitch” was responsible for the prolonged delay, stressing that Nigerians deserve transparency in the electoral process.

Election observer group Yiaga Africa had similarly raised concerns over the stalled uploads and urged INEC to either complete the process or provide a clear explanation.

The development has continued to generate questions over the transparency and credibility of the results-uploading process.
